Subject: Best food for a ferretI hope this is health related enough
Iams Kitten used to be one of the most recommended foods for
ferrets, but now there are a lot of good ferret foods in the
market. I have researched many food labels, and this is what I'm
personnally feeding my ferrets:
1/4 - Iams Kitten food
1/4 - Totally Ferret
1/4 - Zupreem
1/4 - The Ferrets Store Superior Choice
I mix for a couple reasons: 1) just in case I have a problem
obtaining a particular food, they will already be used to other
foods in their mix so they won't starve waiting for the unavailable
brand and 2) I don't believe any one food can provide complete
needed nutrition, so by mixing hopefully the other foods are filling
in any deficiencies in the other foods.
I'm not a vet - these are just my personal choices.

food is for
a ferret? When I had my 4 a while back I fed the guys Iams. Those
guys all
died as a result of a move to my current home, but I am getting
ready to adopt
another ferret and again want to provide the best I can for my pet.
I know all
the nutritional analysis to look for but was wondering if someone
had a specific
brand that they liked? Thanks for your
