OK, Dr. Williams..... You have been advising me from the outset about my
ECE-ridden ferrets, so here is an update and a question: All but two got over
the ECE poops in October. The two that didn't were put on a second round of
pediapred (the first round was during the main outbreak) for two weeks as
advised by you, ending this past weekend. The poops were marginally better,
but now that they're off the pred, their poops are quite nasty again, and one
started losing weight a couple of weeks ago altho his attitude remains good.
The question is: Do I need to keep them on pred indefinately; for a longer,
defined time period; or try an entirely different drug?
