Subject: Ferret is Zoning...

I have a ferret who is about 5 years old. She has always been
VERY active, to the point of hyperactive. She was always busy
running around exploring and playing, and would NEVER slow
down.

Recently, I've noticed some really strange behavior. Most of
the time, she's zooming around like normal, but now and then,
she'll slow down. I mean, really slow down. It's as if she's
zoning out and staring into space. She'll flatten a bit and
lower her head. Sometimes it's accompanied by a 'flopsy-mopsy'
type of movement, as if drugged. If you move or call her, she
usually snaps out of it, and acts normally for a while, but
usually this happens in groups of episodes. If you pick her
up, she will lay in your arms for much longer than seems
normal for her.

This isn't all of the time, just now and then, but enough to
start concerning me. It's not like her at all. I worry about
Insulinoma, could this be? I took her to the vet and he didn't
seem concerned, but I'm not so sure how much he really knows
about ferrets.

Any help is appreciated!
