Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] lupron shot in the south
area
Hi,
My ferret, Hemingway who passed away last year at 5 years of
age from insulinoma, had his right adrenal gland removed for a
confirmed case of adrenal gland disease. He was 1 year old at
the time and never had reoccurance. A good surgical vet
should be able to do it. I wish you all the best in making
your decision.

Hi again,
I have another question for the list... This time it is my
other boy, Rosco. He has already had his left adrenal gland
removed, and now he is acting up again with the same
symptoms as before. He is very aggressive, and is not
urinating as much as he should be. We cannot afford another
surgery this close to Scoots's problems, and we are nervous
anyway because it would be a right adrenalectomy... so we
are considering Lupron shots. But my vet does't have any
other patients who need Lupron shots right now, so we would
have to pay for it all ourselves. Does anyone know of any
vets in the South Jersey area (and we could drive awhile if
we had to) who give Lupron shots (preferably the 4 weeks
variety) for a reasonable price?
