Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Situation Advice?
It's a male MF ferret, neutered... and now when I read my
post again... I think I made a mistake in the medication
name... Ludalyse? Thats not right.
It's a medication normally used for Adrnenal complications but
NOT Lupron... it's a liquid and I was actually told that it is
was normally used for Adrenal and indicated NOT to use in
ferrets with both Adrenal and Insulinoma because it created
problems for the Insulinoma... which would account for the
ferret getting worse.
Sorry for the mix up... now I can't remember WHAT med it
was... any ideas?
Susan

Are you sure this ferret is even spayed? Skin loss itching
etc besides during adrenal presentation can be demonstrated
in a silent heat situation. Lutalyse is a drug used for
pregnancy complications I believe-- right Vickie?
I would say from my expertise in sheltering-- the ferret
suffers greatly from extreme neglect-- and would be far
better off in another surrounding-- but ownership rights
prevail in most cases unless you can get a witness that will
swear to abuse or neglect in court of law-- don't know where
else to go from here--
