As you point out, no one knows about this in relation to ferrets but
for humans it is a very safe herb when used according to
instructions, and helped with toxic liver damage, chronic
inflammatory liver disease, and hepatic cirrhosis in studies. There
is some work going on to study some other possible effects; however,
it is NOT known if it will help with other liver disorders. There's a
good bit on it in _PDR for Herbal Medicines_. Drug interactions to
avoid: silymarin, butyrophenones, phenothiazines, yohimbine.
