Subject: RE: [Ferret-Health-list] Insulinoma -I need ANSWERS!

First take a deep breath...<g> Then I would start by searching the archives
of this list using insulinoma as the key word. And some of us have had great
luck treating insulinomas. Frankly the prognosis will depend on what they
find at surgery, but I had one little girl who lived for 4 years after
surgery, and died from a heart attack. You have a lot of options to chose
from, and there is no consensus on this list about what is best <g>, but I
think everyone agrees that surgery is your first step. And that this is
definitly a time you want a vet that does this surgery alot! If you do not
have a very ferret knowledgable vet let us know where you live and I'm sure
someone on the list can help.
Good luck, and we're with you.
