I don't know if any products are safer than others, but what I do, since
I'm sensitive to the strong fragrances, is after normal cleaning, I go over
the carpet again with just hot water in the tank. This helps remove any
remaining chemicals and soap from the carpet. Let dry thoroughly and let
the fuzzies out to play!
