Subject: Scarlet fever
Hi Sandi --
I'm not a vet either, but my 4-y.o. had scarlet fever in
January and the ferrets were fine. Of course, she didn't have
much contact with them, as she was fighting a 105 degree fever
for most of it.
I don't think the ferrets can get it, but I'd keep the kids
and ferrets separate, just in case.
Good luck -- nothing I EVER want to deal with again!!
