Try Dr. Peterson at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan - probably
the foremost endocrinologist (or at least the most widely
published). He actually is an endocrinologist first, and a ferret
endocrinologist second - cats are his primary research interest.

You might also try Jack Oliver down at UT - he has a lot of
experience in ferrets due to being a major driver of the Tenessee
Panel.
