Subject: urine test reference?

Recently there was a post that mentioned that the presence of squamous
cells in a ferret's urine may be a reasonable indicator of adrenal disease.
Does anyone have more info on this? I'd really like to find a reference or
some sort of veterinary article that I could share with our vet.
