Lynn, see if you can arrange to pay your vet in installments, or
perhaps exchange some labor for some of the work. Some vets do allow
such approaches.
Weight loss while a ferret is eating can be hard to pin down. We
have seen it with a very bad fur ball that required surgery, with
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy that was still otherwise asymptomatic,
and with lymphoma in assorted family ferrets over the years. For the
sake of your ferret you need to find the cause so that you can then
utilize cures or treatments.
