Subject: Marie, aspirin
Marie, we have had some ferrets who needed aspirin. Some tolerated
it well in small amounts days apart, and some did not. One had
marked intestinal bleeding from it, which was a shame because she was
a darling who was throwing clots due to advanced cardiomyopathy, but
her body just didn't tolerate any blood thinners. Meltdown was the
only ferret we had who has ever had such a strongly negative response
to aspirin, though, so she likely was aberrant on that score.
How they deal with it seems to be an individual thing.
