Subject: Question for the vets regarding CHX Guard LA
Hello,
A vet gave me the product to use on one of my ferrets after a teeth
cleaning. The active ingredient is 0.12% Chlorhexidine Gluconate.
The vet was not experienced with ferrets, but said, "safe for dogs,
safe for cats, safe for ferrets", I have since changed to a vet with
much more ferret knowledge. Gizmo hasn't been seen by the new vet as
of yet and I keep forgeting to ask about the product. The tube of
gel did not come with a data sheet. The instructions for use are:
daily application to teeth and gums. The tube is a per day metered
syringe, but the amount for one application seems to be too much for
a ferret. I could not find any reference to it in the archives and
could use some advice.
