I don't know if I can really help you to determine if sniper has
IBD. My female sable, Zinc, was diagnosed with IBD. The vet took a
biopsy to determine this. Zinc undergoes blood tests periodically
to determine if inflammation is present and to monitor the effects of
the drug she is on. Once Zinc was diagnosed, she was put on 0.3 ml
of pediapred 2x daily, and 0.1 ml of Imuran every other day. It took
a few weeks, but she did improve.

We took her to the vet because she began having diarrhea only during
her play time. By the time the appointment came around the occurance
of diarrhea had increased. All of her stools were liquid, not
seedy. She was always doing the flat-ferret-thing in the middle of
the room. Her mood to play came in spurts and didn't last long. She
began sleeping a lot more and lost interest in playing.
Unfortunately, I doubt that these particular symptoms are specific to
IBD. It was only obvious that she wasn't feeling well. It took an
exploratory surgery and a biopsy to diagnose IBD.
