I had a boy who had major ear problems...go have your vet culture the ears. Tempest had two different staph and a fungal infection in his! I don't remember the name of the fungal infection...but it's fairly common in dogs, and apparantly looked simmilar enough for my vet to think of it, and sure enough...that was one of the problems. He was treated and did fine, and though he was always touchy about his ears, he was a lot *less* touchier about them afterwards. He came to me a recent rescue and we only cultured after repeated treaments for ear mites failed to help.
