I would say in an emergency, try putting their head under water or
running
water. I had to do that with a cat. I flipped on the bathtub faucet
with my
foot and put her head under the water, it did get her to let go and
she ran
away. I was just petsitting for the owners. (first time with the cat
and was
an emergency to petsit)
