Just wanted to add. Of my three, only Angel regularly does the DFS
(dead ferret syndrome or Dad Freaks So-funny) and I love it. It can
give me as much as 15 minutes just holding him quietly and stroking
his fur before he comes to and decides he really should be about
doing ferret business. Angel is the only one of my three who will go
to sleep in my arms too, probably because he was the first and I held
him more when he was a kit. So, once you get used to it, DFS is a
good thing.
