First off, is it known if the dandelions might have been sprayed with anything?

Are these ones sold for food or ones from the garden which have not
been cleaned? I ask that because of the possibility of animal waste
which may carry disease or parasites.

According to the _PDR for Herbal Medicines_ contraindications include
closure of the biliary ducts, gallbladder empyema, and ileus.
Superacid gastric complaints are possible (If that ferret has an
ulcer be careful.). There's more but I don't have time right now to
put the resource and the medical dictionaries together. Plus, I
suspect that this is what you seek.
