I'm wondering if the stinky ears could be a yeast infection
but I'm not sure ferrets can suffer from that. I can't help
feeling that something isn't right though if the ears actually
smell. Maybe your vet would be able to do a culture.

Hi folks. I have a 4 year old Path Valley male who's ears
always stink. I generally clean the every two to three
weeks. I have tried doing it weekly, however the smell
persists. This has been going on for years. I use Sheppard
and Green ear cleaner and about 8 to 10 Qtips each cleaning.
His ears are usually very, very dirty. He has been treated
for mites and has had three ear infections over the last two
years.
