I have been making soup for several years. When I
originally started making it, I looked at many
recipes and put together what I thought were
(was?) the best ingredients. It has been changed
many times over the years. It has been changed
yet again recently to accommodate Champ's renal
failure. The oil is added just as a little aid
for the health of their fur. It also helps to
make the soup a little smoother. I only add 2T to
about 1/2 gallon batch. I originally added
vegetable oil but switched to canola oil a couple
of years ago.
