Dear Kathie:

I guess that I am more proactive on surgery than most, but exactly
why did your vet say that surgery to remove the large tumor was a
death sentence? Cataracts certainly aren't the cause, and ferrets
with insulinoma are operated on daily. Is there something else that
would make him a poor surgical candidate - heart disease, etc.?
