Carla, as far as I know that extra chromium precaution is for when an
insulinoma is present, not a general caution.

There are some vets here who wrote on the topic, so I'll hope that
they aren't too busy preparing for or recuperating from conferences,
and can tell us all more if more is known.

I have another insulinoma question group. I learned from Dodie that
oral bacteria that get into the bloodstream due to dental disease can
make diabetes harder to manage. That makes me wonder if the effect
is directly on the pancreas and, if so, if insulinoma might also be
affected by oral health?
