My little Belle also liked to chew on odd things, especially in her old
age. I do not believe it is a nutritional lack, but more likely just a
comfort thing. Belle would chew on the inside of her fleece lined sleep
sacks, and would drag plastic bags to her hidey holes and curl up for a
good chew.
I would recommend getting her some chew weasles or foamy fries or other
ferret safe chew toys, so she can get her chewing done safely.
