Subject: Strange Yellowing
I have a friend who's white ferret is displaying a yellow staining
around the eyes, (which washes off) and a yellow coloring on the fur
(not the skin only the fur).
This ferret came from another owner who fed him a 'cat food' during
his early years, but his diet has since improved.
When she got the ferret, there was also a yellow crust on the paws,
and the nails were brittle (which has since cleared up).
The fur was coarse and there has been some hair loss, and he also has
a bloated (fat) appearance around the abdomen.
He is off for a Vet check, but the yellowing discharge is very
puzzling .. any thoughts?
