A few months ago my husband and I rescued a big
boy, too! He was almost three pounds and ATE
constantly! He, too, came from a home where he
was not alowed to come out of his cage. After a
few weeks with us and his four new play mates, he
really started to shed the pounds and grew leaps
and bounds in the way of social behavior! But
just to be sure we took him to our vet when he
started to lose weight and she confirmed our
suspicions that it was due to the increased
activity and excercise. He has since leveled out
. But he still eats like he's afraid the food's
gonna run out. We think maybe he wasn't fed
frequently in his former "home". But the last
post was GOOD advice! TAKE HIM TO A VET to be
sure. :)
