The symptoms of cardiomyopathy and heartwork are virtually the same, IIRC. I
would have the ferret looked at as soon as possible by a ferret friendly vet
to make any diagnosis - its possible that the ferret has asthma/allergies as
well. I would recommend blood tests, xrays and a thorough exam.
