Hi Maureen,
I am not sure why you thought Megace or Ovaban
would be a adrenal gland treatment option.
Megace/Ovaban is megestrol acetate (a progestin).
Side effects include uterine and mammary hyperplasia,
diabetes, acromegaly, hepatobiliary disease, lethargy,
polydipsia, and polyuria. Since it would not likely help
with the adrenal gland disease and has some serious potential
side effects, I would not recommend it.
Medical options would include Lupron, melatonin, and other
products that limit the production of adrenal gland hormones.
