Subject: how many calories a day?

How many calories a day should a ferret eat? I'm sure this varies by
sex, age, nursing, weight, etc. but a range would be helpful.

I noticed that Gerber stage 2 turkey has only 80 calories per jar
which seemed lower than I expected. My ferret has had insulinoma
surgery and mainly eats this food. He seems to be doing well but I
want to be sure he gets enough calories.
