When my ferret buddies get dry itchy skin, I bathe them in a
kitten oatmeal shampoo, and add a capsule of Vitamin E to the
skin as you are lathering them up. I buy the Pure vitamin E
capsules, and pierce it open then throw away the outer
capsule, as it does not dissolve. Lather & rinse as usual. My
ferrets even like to lick the Vitamin E from my hand as a
treat, it's good for them. You should also brush your ferret's
fur 3-4 times a week, more if he is shedding, this helps
distribute oils throughout the skin, and remove dead hair(
also preventing hair balls). Also, when washing bedding, wash
in a NON perfumed detergent, sometimes scents in the detergent
will give them allergies and make them itch or sneeze. Good
luck, hope these suggestions help.Michele & the Fur Gang
