I see no problem in giving a bath to any animal/person who is going
to have surgery. Shampoo- I use one of the ferret shampoo products
but baby shampoo is o.k. I don't think the bath will change the
odor though. Probably strong from increased hormones from the
adrenal. Change bedding and hammocks weekly, and room
deoderizing spray helps too.
You can try those sprays for grooming to help with the odor until she is
recovered from surgery - takes a few weeks to get in a nice
coat and change the smell.
