Subject: failing kidneys

my ferret oliver also had failing kidneys although at
the time of diagnosis we did not know if it was primary
or secondary to adrenal gland. We put oliver on an iv
for 2+ days to flush his kidneys, which helped his
blood values. My question to you is, is this problem
due to adrenal, or something else? Oliver has been on a
modified diet (wet and dry) for kidney failure for the
last 2 months as well as epogen, depo lupron, flutimide
(prostate enlargement) and many other meds for various
conditions. Oliver has finally tested normal for his
kidneys, so for this i am grateful. Hope all goes well
for you. dee and oliver
