I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I'm curious as to why surgery
to correct the blockage wasn't an option?
Yes, some ferret do seem prone to eating cloth or various other
materials. Most don't have a taste for it, so unless you're seeing
signs the others are chewing on the bedding, it's probably not
something you need to worry about with them. Keep a close eye on
them of course.
