I saw Capstar being used on Monday. I went over
to our wildlife vet to feed my new baby opossums
(can't take them to work anymore but one of our
vets just happens to be right across the street;
how lucky can I get!!) and there was a lady there
who was sitting on the floor in the surgery
combing millions of fleas off of a poor dog. Her
daughter "hadn't noticed" that the outside dog had
fleas! I had never seen so many fleas in my
life. The dog was definitely anemic. He was
pitiful. To get to the point.... the vet gave the
lady a Capstar pill to give him. I can see it
being very useful for infestations such as this.
For long term prevention, I guess not. I wasn't
around long enough to see the results.
