Hi Maureen,
I don't use any chemicals at all around my ferrets. I only have a
small amount of pine bedding in the bottom of their cage which I
change daily as their litter box since they didn't like the plastic
one they had. And only my female has the problem with her hair.
Someone had told me they thought she was just shedding her winter
coat and that females are always smaller than males. Smaller I can
handle but she feels so thin. So I am slowly changing her diet with
more nutrients just in case she isn't eating well. Crossing fingers
it will work.
