From what I've read, it is perfectly normal for them to change
color
completely with their shedding cycle. My Copernicus just went
through this:
he went from silver to sterling silver in one week (almost all of
his black
guard hairs fell out), and now he has gone back to silver. I
wouldn't be
alarmed unless the hair falls out and doesn't grow back.

Two of mine change shades with the seasons. Poki gets much lighter
in color,
and Smoky gets a much lighter tan undercoat. In the winter Poki has
a lot of
black guard hairs and Smoky has a deep carmel undercoat. Loki has
pretty much
stayed the same, and Vanilla's an albino. His coat has turned to the
adult
yellowish white. (he just turned one.)
