first let me say i am sorry for you are going thru. I
have a ferret named Oliver who has had his share of
problems lately. Oliver started with what we thought
was a bladder infection and soon there after we
diagnosed kidney failure. We put him on an iv for 2
days to flush his kidneys and since we have him on a
modified diet for renal failure (both wet and dry mixed
with a/d and h20), epogen for anemia, flutimide for
prostate enlargement, cepha drops for possible
infection, and many other meds. I guess what i am
saying is the vets did not give much hope for oliver
but he made it and still doing okay. I would suggest
you search the archives for kidney failure and the best
