Subject: The ADV poll
One criterion overlooked in the ADV pool is location, which may have led to
more "never tested" results than you'd get if you polled East Coast owners
only. As a CAn, I haven't seen the need to test my guys just yet. AD seems
to be making its way across North America at about half the speed ECE did,
and the only western cases I've heard were singular instances in WA and TX.
Neither of these states is within 1000 miles of So. Cal., so there's a
large buffer of forest and desert still in play. Also, despite the
protests, our illegal status does have some advantages. Unless MF is hit, I
figure we've got at least another 2 years before California ferrets are
threatened by AD.
