Absolutely not supposed to be a problem, though if I had one
that was
serious about eating it I would be concerned and take it
away. It's
rather common practice to fill a big tub with several pounds
of rice
and let your ferrets play in it. They love the digging and
the
parasite and fungal fears one has from a sandbox are
eliminated. Any
accidently ingested rice should pass right through. Now if
Bandit has
a penchant for actually eating the rice, then I would take
it away.
Accidently eating a little bit and deliberately eating a lot
of it
are two very different scenarios. Sounds to me like he is in
the accidental catagory since you didn't actually see him
chowing down and only noticed it from the other end.

hugs
Christopher
