guys just yet. AD seems to be making its way across North America at
about half the speed ECE did, and the only western cases I've heard
were singular instances in WA and TX. Neither of these states is
within 1000 miles of So. Cal., so there's a large buffer of forest
and desert still in play. Also, despite the protests, our illegal
status does have some advantages. Unless MF is hit, I figure we've
got at least another 2 years before California ferrets are

I haven't heard of it being in CA yet, either, but I also don't think
people in CA are testing yet, so I don't think there's any way to
know for sure. I know it's in Oregon, New Mexico and Arizona, as
well as the states you mentioned.

Marshall Farms probably will never have ADV now since they are a
closed facility. But, Marshall Farms ferrets are not
necessarily 'safe' from ADV. Their ferrets go to warehouse type
facilities where they are kept in close contact with other ferrets
that are not from MF and are waiting to be shipped. I've heard of
one or two cases of MF ferrets being positive...but not many.
