bowel disease

Hi Alisa,

I have lots of eldery ferrets and I have noticed (they are mostly around 7
now) that at age 5 they start slowing down and even little colds can mess
with their little systems a bit more.

I have also seen some thick gooey stools that were not from blood. There is
no mistaking the latter as it is like tar, really. Not close to or similar
to but just like it.

he may very well be grieving for his lost friend. I have a couple that over
a year down the road they still look for their gone buds.

You might try some chicken baby food with a little ferretvite mixed in. Mine
don't take well to a/d at all.

I would think the metronidazole and carafate are a good start. Have you
checked his blood glucose?

blessings,

Maggie
