Again, I am sorry about getting it wrong. I was told by Houston shelter
operators that San Antonio, like Houston, got it from ferrets from
australia.

I never implied nor meant to that anyone involved destroyed animals. I know
of two shelters in Houston that have been closed down due to ADV in the
area. One that got it from Australian ferrets and one that closed before
exposure because of chronically ill elder ferrets.

I was trying to make the point that there is obviously a lot of
misinformation out there. While I was obviously misinformed, I have to say
that calling me a liar implies that I did it to hurt someone.

That isn't true. As someone who has dealt with f.i.p. in cats for for
several years, I understand how frustrating a situation this is.

I never made claims as to how long it has been around or anything else. Just
saying what I had been told by someone I consider reliable. And still do.

I hope that everyone notices that I did not name names. And last I heard,
SAFE wasn't the only shelter in San Antonio. And as you notice, I still have
not named the two affected shelters in Houston.

I also said quiet, I did not say cover up. Huge difference.

I am truly saddened that folks like Bruce Williams and Rick White cannot
give me the benefit of the doubt in my choice of words. I have had nothing
but admiration for either of them.

And for those that don't know, Rick is one of the main reasons that ferrets
are granted a period of quaranteen in Texas now.
