SAFE has been very open but they have never sought the spotlight others have
so many probably missed the on going situation.

I'd concur that no attempt to keep this quiet occurred. Only two shelters
we know of have hidden an ADV connection. Only one of those is probably
hiding multiple infected ferrets.

Other shelters or breeders have gotten infected ferrets in and gotten them
back out. That is to us not a problem as getting illness away from other
ferrets is a good thing. As far as we know most of those that sent ferrets
out did so with full disclosure and to people who had some idea of what was
coming.
