Subject: Re:pinrapple juice for hairballs
it works in rabbits, the are herbavores ( sp?) and their diet is much
different than ferrets ( carnivores) therefore the hair follicles are
different in makeup. The pineapple juice actually breaks down the hair in
rabbits-- however it will NOT breakdown the hair follicles in
ferrets-- Please consider offering Petromalt, even unscented white
vaseline petroleum jelly ( it's cheap and the base of all hairball
remedies!) anything that will envelope the hair and help it pass out of the
gut-- if not then surgery is the only option!
