(Moderators Note... There is a charge for this service, though in some cases it is paid by the product manufacturer. In general the charge is 45.00 per case. The ASPCA animal poison control center is a non-profit and doesn't get government funding and they have to pay those veterinarians to man the phones 24/7. Check their website now so you will have the facts before you have an emergency http://www.napcc.aspca.org/ Christopher)

New Toll-free Poison Control Number in the U.S.
The ASPCA has a new poison control hotline phone number for pets.
If you have reason to suspect that your pet may have been exposed to
something toxic, either internally or externally, this phone number will
connect you with an ASPCA veterinarian specially trained to assist pet
owners or other vets.
This is the only dedicated animal poison control hotline in the
world manned by veterinarians, not telephone operators. The number is
staffed 24/7.
(888) 4ANI-HELP or (888) 426-4435
Please pass this on to other lists and animal owners.
