Of my 14 ferrets, I have several that exhibit this scooting
behavior with their toys. Usually it's the toys that are ball
shaped. All the ones that do is are sprites. I never
attributed this behavior as a male or female "thing". I just
thought it was an idiosyncrasy of the particular ferrets.

He takes his balls with the bells in them and scoots around
backwards.

I've noticed from the other replys that it seems to be only
male ferrets
doing this... Any one able to dispute that? If so... could
it be a sexual
thing?
