Hi Cathy

I'm not a vet, and I don't play one on TV...

I have seen the pattern that you are speaking of, and in my experience, is
symptomatic of adrenals in male ferrets. The bald spot is typically between
the ears, just a little bit towards the back of the skull. If you look
carefully, you may see thinning in the chest area, just in front/between the
front legs.

I would have him checked out thoroughly by a vet, just to eliminate disease,
cagemates....but I would also start 'pee watch'. Make sure that he can freely
urinate..Lupron is a good start. The docs here will almost certainly have
great advice - I can only give ya that based on what I have seen. Good luck!
