He went on to say that the CD jab that my ferret will be getting

Is
there such a vaccine for CD? or does he have to have yearly

I am not aware of a lifelong vaccine against canine distemper - it
should be
boosted yearly. And whether the likelihood of him catching it is
low or not,
if it's at all possible (and it is, no matter where you live) your
ferret
should be vaccinated. Canine distemper is fatal.
