I hope one or more of the vets will address this, becasue they are
the ones that can best answer your concerns.
However, my personal experience is that while reactions to Imrab 3 do
occur, they occur at a much lower rate. In recent years I have had a
number of ferrets have severe reactions to Fervac, to the point that
now that I am no longer showing, I use Galaxy D. I have never had
one of my kids have a reaction to Imrab 3, and I currently have 23
ferrets, and all are vaccinated yearly, except my one that is sick
from ADV. I do know of people that have had ferrets react to Imrab
3, though, and to Galaxy as well.
I live in an area that has a big problem with rabies, and live near
park land with lots of raccoons, skunks and foxes. Each year we hear
about animals killed in our neighborhood that prove to have rabies.
For this reason, I feel the need to vaccinate. If one of my kids
ever escaped, I want to know that if it comes home it will not have
rabies.
