Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Hair Loss

That may be a early sign of adrenal gland secreting to much
harmones. The other signs are overly aggresive and hair loss
on his back feet. If it's a female their vulva usually swells
as well. You should try to get your ferret checked out by an
exotic vet who is ferret knowledgeable.

My ferret Jake is losing his hair. He shows no signs of
illness ie he
has a healthy appetite, is very animated and playful with my
other
ferret Blaise. I have checked his body for mites and his
skin shows
no irritation or rash. Except for losing his hair he acts
and appears
to be a normal ferret. Any idea why he is losing his hair
and what I
can do to reverse this?
